forget-me-knot

note to self: do not forget
In French, when you want to make sure not to forget something, you are advised to "faire un noeud à ton mouchoir" (make a knot in your handkerchief).

In English you make sure to "tie a string around your finger". Which can be painful.

Well not anymore, with this object found for you at the flea market. Now, all you need to remember is... er... why did I tie a string around my finger again?

I'm with you on this. I'm all the time writing myself notes like "call Jim, Red Project." And then two days later, I wonder, what the heck did I want to talk to him about the Red Project for.

Interesting items in your photo. Where did the rest of the mannequin go? Maybe that is why it has a string on its finger - must the rest of find my body.

I like the old blocks and the country pins. Were these finds at the flea market from yesterday?

•steve: we could be twins! :)
•clueless: I was wondering too. Then catching up on my blog reading, I found the legs in Lynette's blog!!! Let's all be on the lookout for the rest.
And yes, this was the bounty to be found at yesterday flea market. :)

If I thought of something in the middle of the night that I must remember, I would put the book I was reading on the floor so when I would wake up in the morning I would remember what I had thought of!!!
Now I am old I wake up in the morning and say "Who put my book on the floor in the middle of the night"
I think I need a piece of string.
How long should the piece of string be???

Did you buy it?

I'm making a lot of progress, you know. In a few more years I won't even remember I have fingers!

Oh, goody. You've found one of L is for Legs' forearms! Fantastic.

And I absolutely cannot wait until tomorrow to ask my brother if I remember correctly--I believe we had one of those Minute a Day Gyms when we were teenagers!

Thanks so much, Eliane, for cruisin' my blog!

•jules: putting a book on the floor seems like a good idea but I too would need a string to remember why I put it there in the first place.
•fénix: no - funny enough, I have a series of pictures of things that I found funny and weird on the spur-of-the-moment. It's only now, looking at the images, that I can see how some of that stuff would be great in my little interior.
•maria elisa: I love this! And... do you remember why you wrote a cross in your hand?
•fabrizio: seems like a universal trait.
•photolicious: en effet! :)
•lynette: see? those legs have travelled to Portland, what a trip!
You have to tell me about the Minute a Day Gym - I have no idea what it is but the name amuses me. And than you, Lynette, for visiting my humble little blog.
