guess the building

[click on picture to enlarge - taken via iPhone]

Well, I am sure you all guessed what the tallest building in the picture is. If ensure, just check the tags associated with this post.
We are looking east towards downtown and Brooklyn.

Oh la la, mon photo hier a montre les immeubles aussi, mais c'etait la vue de mon auberge. Si vous y visitez, vous verriez les plus grande (tallest) apartements privees a Singapuce.

Wow, my photo yesterday is also a shot of tall buildings, not of the city but just a simple view from my apartment. If you visit my site, you will see Sillypore's tallest condominium.

All this picture needs is King Kong.

Thanks for your many recent comments. To answer your question: the building you refer to is the Old Courthouse. It was the scene of a notorious trial in the 1850s, the Dred Scott case. It's a museum now. See this link.

The building, I have no idea! But I again realize your a blogger here. I am also, or was, to be more accurate.
I just don't have the patience to learn all of this.
Maybe we could me, for coffee sometime. I live in the other borough your referring to in this image...
Thanks here also, for all the kind attention you have been giving my posts on Flickr./noseum

What the picture needs is Amédée! ;)

Have you heard from Olivier?

Was this taken from the Rock on top of the Rockefeller Center?

Very nicely done. Love the blue sky.

I'm surprised at the high quality of this image, really good from a phone.

Uhm as strangetastes asked: where is it King Kong? And I add: Where Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr are? Ah the magic Empire.

I like the angle from where you caught it :-)

I love the dark blue sky on the right in this picture. You picked a good hour for the shot.

•photolicious: Ton auberge? Lol. I have to go and take a look of those tall building of your crazy city.
•strangetaste: the link seems to be broken but I'll google it. It is such a nice building lost in the middle - glad to learn it is a museum!
•digital diary: thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. You're a Brooklynite? We should have coffee in your borough there!
•fénix: amédée will have cocktails with the New York gang. Olivier should introduce us on Friday. I'll try to get a close-up of this little fellow.
•ming: I think it's either from the office kitchen or from the conference room next to it. Thanks - it has a little vintage feel to it that I like.
•curly: not bad, eh? Steve Jobes should get me on his payroll, with all the posts I made with his new little toy.
•fabrizio: Between King Kong and Cary Grant, I know who I want to meet up there!
•lan: I was gonna say thanks for stopping by but... oh my goodness, those sneaky tags... they travel from blog to blog like a sly virus... ;)
•steve: thank you. Pure luck. I have absolutely no idea what I am doing.
