a quick update

a quick update, première mise en ligne par • Eliane •.

Er... it is more than time for a quick update, I admit... I admit... I admit...
Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa...
It took me indeed a bit longer than the seven hours mentioned in the previous post to be back here and update this... er...*cough* daily blog. Three weeks in Europe for work, two hectic ones back in the NY office, the flu, new projects, yada-yada-yada, ... This simply got me completely off track. And you know what you have to do in such case? Do exactly what your Mama told you: "no more playing until you finish your homeworks"! So I did exactly that: shut down the blog, the email and focus on the task at end.

And what did I learn from this bog hiatus?
1. I absolutely cannot keep a blog while traveling ;
2. living unplugged for a while is a powerful thing ;
3. you guys are the best - thank you for all your kind comments, emails, calls while I closed the shop here.

As for the chair, I promised before to keep you updated on its situation:
03sep2007 - afternooon - chair in an unusual place
chair in an unusual place (scavenger hunt)
30oct2007 - 7:53pm - Status: still there
chair in an unusual place - update
03mar2008 - morning - Status: still there

As for the author of this post, she will try to keep the updates coming in a less sporadic way. No guaranties though.

SO glad to see you back. I saw your posts last night on my Google reader, but when I clicked on them I got an error, so I went ahead and visited your flickr page and gorged on all that great food you've been enjoying and photographing in the past few weeks. Yum!

I am contemplating leaving the CDPB. Life has gotten quite busy here too; don't have the time to visit so many blogs anymore. I'll start to post every other day, I think, from May 1st.

Welcome back Eliane (BTW I noticed your food's photo on Flickr). I hope old Europe reserved good time for you.

At the other side I'm quite sad to read what fénix is going to announce...

Being unplugged is very under rated. I like it and I am glad you got to go away and travel. Sorry you got the flu.

Merci à tous et à toutes.

Claudine, c'est très gentil à toi.

fénix, thank you. Oh do I understand you so well. Whatever you decide, I hope we stay in touch. You're one of my favorite person in the CPDB family.

fabrizio grazie amigo. Time in Europe was too short, besides the w.e. at my brother's, it was all work and no fun (although we do know how to make work fun too).

jd thanks Jerry. The flu was kind of inevitable: every single one of us caught it the first or second week we were back in NY. One after the other.
Unplugging is a necessity. I also did enjoy the lights off last Saturday.
