W80's - map it here
Somewhere in my 'hood, a typical brownstone with a nice flower pot. I just want to sit there, sip a coffee and read the newspaper. Pas vous?

les ombres et la lumiere sont superbes. les brownstones, cela donne vraiment un coté village à NYC.

I just love these brownstones. I've never seen inside one though. (I guess I'll have to make friends with someone who lives in one!) This is a lovely shot and you are right, it does invite you to take a seat there and watch the world go by.

(P.S. I agree with you about Atlantic City. It is somewhat of a sad place anymore. It has definitely seen better days. Maybe it will come back to its former glory one day.)

Je trouve que ce pot de fleurs ensoleillé donne un charme fou à cet endroit ! Je comprends que tu aimes y aller t'asseoir! Je vois d'après les températures qu'il fait beau et chaud à New-York ! Pas la même chose à Paris !!

I have seen this image in so many films, just as you described. A lovely photograph, with the shadows and light interplay.

I like brownstones too! Last Fall I think Lori posted a good halloween brownstone stoop. Of course it may have been you!

Glad you liked my post today. Yes, Cheltenham is also known as Cheltenham Spa. We were once famous for our Spa water, though its never been bottled. The reason being it tastes awful! Like Spa in Belgium we have loads of Festivals too. Literature, Science, Food, Music...you name it and we host it! If you want to know a bit more about Cheltenhams spa history go back to my post and click on the Label 'spa water', at the bottom of the post. You can then see my previous Spa posts!

Hope this answers some of your questions :)

Merci à tous et à toutes and thank you all!

Claudine, Bergson and Olivier: I'll make sure to pack some more sun in the future posts,. Oh and if French that was: je ferai de sorte d'inclure un peu de soleil dans les prochains posts. Et si ça ne suffit pas, il vous faudra juste prendre un peu de vacances!

Everything is nice but what I love most is the photo. Those shadows on stairs are great as great is your eye.
