staying late in the office (number two)

Another picture I took last night from our conference room.

I really like that time of day, when the sunset makes the buildings blush.
Do I really need to tell you what we are looking at? Well, if you insist.
We are now looking towards the south east of Manhattan. On your right, the iconic Empire State Building (blushing on its right cheek). In the background you can distinguish the East River and Brooklyn across it.

Oh, oh, oh! Seven days and I'll be there, my home town. Ming and I are meeting on Sat. 7 July. Are you around?

strangetastes -- the 7th is Monday (wouldn't want you to miss your meeting with Ming).

Eliane -- great shot. I'm trying to pinpoint your exact location.

Encore plus réussies qu'hier les photos ! On dirait que ce paysage est éclairé par une lumière rouge ! Vraiment bien ! Tu es une photographe parfaite !

If I had such a nice view from my office, I'd live there.

And all the way across the East River, you can see me waving from Brooklyn.

Ah I loved your sescription of twilight - blushing....

only a girl could come up with that... brilliant!!!

I truly believe that at that time in the evening... the sky romances the earth with great colors to view the beauty that we inhabit. :-)

grt pic.. really nice commentary

Hi,
The description that you gave with the photographs was amazing. "the sun makes the buildings blush..." beautiful.
the sky looks more like a painting than a real one, which, i suppose is the beauty of a setting sun.
thanks for putting up a lesser known aspect of the city called the "melting pot of cultures" of the world.
Take care and God bless....

Isn't it worthwhile to stay late in the office and catch such great golden hours shot! I love the first shot where the red glow on Empire State Building was more prominent.

This shot is an advert for NYC!
