This beautiful mural in Harlem promotes women's health in a wonderful and colorful way.

Thank you fabrizio, julia and ming/ It is huge indeed: it covers the entire side of a H&M store on W125th Street. I was grateful to the fellow on the left side of the picture to pop in. He gives a good idea of the scale.

This beautiful mural reminds me of the murals we once enjoyed in Los Angeles. Taggers destroy them before they are even finished. Part of the reason is that the murals enjoyed certain protections. The kids figured this out and realized by tagging the murals, their names stayed up much longer. The end result is a complete loss of funding. Sadly, these are the very same kids the city was targeting as mural assistants. A door into larger funding for the "murals" they might have been able to create.
