I woke up a little early today to get you a few pictures of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade before all those out-of-towners invade us. ;) Look who I found! A smashing dashing marching band!!
They were marching to Central Park West. So I followed them.
French horns, tubas and ... cell phones!

They're pretty orderly even when they aren't in a parade. Well, I guess they're a parade all by themselves.

Thanks for the picture! I was going to go to the parade but we slept too late! I'm glad you were there to capture a NYers perspective for us.
It's fun to be an unofficial marcher in the parade, no? Staging areas offer great opportunities without battling the spectator types.
