toys r us - times square - map it here[L] These must be the most photogenic escalators in town. Usually not from that angle, but from this one: red & groovy - nov2008, remember?
Hi Eliane, I just finished a post about Times Square for tomorrow & then I come here to find your lovely post on the same subject... a sort of serendipity. Your post is much more colorful! I have never been in the Toys R' Us, but I have seen its giant ferris wheel ride from the sidewalk.
Two blocks from the office .. working here 9 yrs and have been inside Toys R Us once .. once .. only once .. and it was so crowded I grabbed what I needed, paid and exited... never noticed the escalators .. cant believe I never noticed the escalators!
These escalators could give you vertigo - not enough color contrast for visual orientation. They look like they belong more in Tokyo than New York.
Thanks for your help with my bad French in yesterday's post. It really helped to speak a little when we were in Paris - the French appreciate that we try. I actually made a restaurant reservation without a word of English (I was so proud of myself). Still, I have a whole lot to learn.
I found this site using google.com And i want to thank you for your work. You have done really very good site. Great work, great site! Thank you!
Belgian gal, French speaking, lands in Manhattan for work. Falls in love with her new city and stays. Keeps on discovering it every single day and loves it! Shares it with you through daily pictures. Makes no pretense of being a photographer. Is more of a happy-snapper note-taker. Welcomes comments, suggestions and critiques.
[unless otherwise indicated, pictures are taken with an iPhone]
I just take pictures for fun and really don't mind if you do use them. What I do mind though is that credit be given where credit is due. So if use one of my pictures, send me a little note with the link to your post. That would make my day.

I haven't been in ToysRUs at Times Square in a long time. It is always packed with kids and their parents.
When did you take this photo? It looks practically empty.

First time visiting your blog.
I think the colours are great but do agree they look like they belong more in Tokyo.
Thanks for a lovely photo
